Emily and Brian (aka Brantley) grew up in the same hometown without ever knowing one another; their moms even worked together! It wasn’t until Emily went to meet Brian’s friend that she was introduced to him. Brian later invited her to a party where they really connected, he called out of work the next day so they could spend it together, and from that point on they were inseparable!
Two years into dating, Emily’s mom requested a family trip to Anna Maria Island, Florida. She had vacationed there as a kid and wanted to go back one more time. Brian knew he wanted to propose on the vacation, so he asked Emily’s dad for his blessing three months in advance and then got down on one knee at the perfect moment while on their trip. How cute!! I love the sentiment behind the location and the romantic setting.Â
Emily and Brian’s Williamsburg wedding was full of surprises. From storms that rolled in right after their ceremony (amazing timing), to being forced to chug Smirnoff ices during speeches, they took it all like champs and laughed the whole way through!! When the rain lightened up just before dark, we escaped for portraits down by the water. We were blessed with the most epic sunset, and I’d like to think Emily’s mama in heaven had something to do with it 🙂
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Brantley! It was such a joy to be a part of your day!
Xo, Remy
