Sarah and Matthew are MARRIED!!! They had the most beautiful wedding at Amber Grove and every detail was absolutely perfect! Their day was filled with so much love, happy tears, and laughter, I was so thankful to be a small part in it. I have to say, I think my favorite part was when they both went back to back to pray before the ceremony. I love when my bride and grooms want to find time for special moments like that in between the rushing around pre-ceremony. It’s so easy to get caught up in a timeline, to get all the pictures done on your list, or get frustrated if plans change because of the rain, but Sarah and Matthew kept their focus on the real meaning of their wedding day. I loved their wedding for so many reasons, as you can see from all the prettiness in the photos below, but most of all because the bride and groom were just SO ready to become husband and wife already!! Wishing these two a lifetime of joy and unconditional love!

My first wedding of 2019 set the bar high, friends! I just can’t say enough wonderful things about this sweet couple, their families, and all the talented vendors that made this day possible. I typically meet all my couples before their wedding, either at the engagement session or meetings, but that wasn’t the case for Hailee and Ben. They live in NC, so we were not able to make any trips to each other beforehand. I got to know Hailee via email and we instantly connected due to our Type A personalities and like-mindedness. I knew she was sweet, down-to-earth, and we even had a mutual friend who was the person to recommend me to her. I had a really good sense of who she was, but when I met her in person on her wedding day, we were practically immediate best friends! When I met Ben, he was super easy to talk to, very laid back, and was a total trooper for all the lovely portraits we took! 🙂 In a nutshell, I absolutely ADORE them. I am so thankful I was able to witness such a special day for this incredible couple. They radiate joy, fill the room with laughter and smiles, and are consumed with love. Everything about them and their wedding day was a dream!
I could go on and on about them, but the pictures I chose to share here will be telling the story of their wedding day from beginning to end. From details and gifts, to getting ready and first looks, to saying “I do” underneath the oak tree, to sweat soaked dancing, golden hours kisses, and a perfect sparkler exit… Just sit back and enjoy living vicariously through this bride and groom’s special day and keep scrolling because it gets better and better and better- no lie! Wishing these two all the blessings in the world, congratulations Hailee and Ben!
Love from the Bride: “If you are looking for a photographer who is prompt, organized, fun, talented, and sweet as pie, look no further! After our first photographer was unable to do our wedding, I had to scramble to find another. After talking with about 20 photographers, I was feeling defeated….until I connected with Remy. Instantly, I knew she was THE person to document our biggest day ever. Since our initial interaction via email, she was prompt, courteous, organized (Type A’s unite!), and just the all-around best. Her questionnaire and wedding day guide were super helpful! I didn’t officially meet Remy until the day of our wedding, but she brought an instant sense of calm and joy. She made Ben and I feel so comfortable, and beautifully captured our love. She was super quick with our photos, and y’all – she is an editing wizard! I would recommend Remy a thousand times over and will continue to use her for all our life events, as I am happy to call her my friend!” -Hailee
Here is the groom casually offering the bride a piece of gum in the middle of their first look, haha! We were all cracking up!!In love with these wildflower arrangements! This cutie flower girl was not thrilled to be the center of attention, haha!Oh my gosh, the excitement is REAL here! After their beautiful ceremony exit, we jumped into family portraits and had some time for these stunning portraits coming up next!My personal favorite, haha!… Now it’s reception time! The sweetest dances, I was literally crying. After cake we were ready for golden hour portraits and we were just in time! ALL the heart eyes!I loved being goofy with them- at the end of the portraits, I just told them to run towards me… and their faces were amazing, haha! Then they jumped right into the fun stuff! Dance time!Hailee requested they have a private dance after the reception as everyone else was preparing for the sparkler exit. How sweet are these!?
It’s all in the details, friends. The first thing I do after arriving and greeting my bride at a wedding is start with the details. I ask all of my brides to prepare an area dedicated to everything they want to be included in their detail pictures. This can include rings, dresses, invitations, extra flowers, garters, jewelry, family heirlooms, the veil, shoes, bouquets, perfume, boutonnieres, vows, really anything that has special meaning to their wedding day. I take pictures of those details, then I continue to capture details throughout the wedding day and around the venue. I can’t wait for you to see the amazing floral work by Rose Avenue Floral Design from the bouquet, to the decor, to the altar, and more!
Madison and Chris had the most beautiful wedding and I am so excited to share the details for now(and the portraits in another blog). Every little detail that went into this wedding is meaningful and so carefully thought out. I love sharing these types of pictures and hope another bride can find some inspiration in them for their future wedding!
