Commonwealth Club Wedding | Morgan + James

Morgan and James met in college during their freshman year where they lived in the same dorm. They started as friends when they went to a sorority function until the following year when they officially started dating on September 14th! They had an amazing proposal in Pismo Beach at Smugglers Cave. James and Morgan were in the middle of a 10 day road trip in California across more than 12 spots, including San Diego, Malibu Ventura, Big Sur and so many more stunning West Coast locations. They spent 10 days traveling in their rented convertible chasing sunsets. Two strangers happened to also be admiring Smugglers Cave and James asked them to take a picture of them because he was going to propose. The couple caught the whole thing on their phones and a professional camera!

Morgan and James had a beautiful wedding at the Brandermill Church and the Commonwealth Club. The weather was absolutely perfect, every detail of the wedding was stunning, and everyone was such good energy to be around- it made the day go by fast and we had so much fun! I love that they chose to have their ceremony in the same location as her sister’s weddings and where Morgan grew up. That just makes it even more special! Morgan also planned the best surprise with her dad to celebrate the last of 3 of his daughters to get married in less than 2 years (you might remember Melinda and Meg from my past weddings, too!). The reception was amazing- just the right amount of emotional moments along with the biggest and best party ever. They closed out the night with an amazing confetti exit and it will forever be one of my favorites!

Congratulations to my sweet friends Morgan and James, wising you a lifetime of laughter, love, and blessings!

John Marshall Ballrooms Wedding | Meg + Tommy

Meg and Tommy’s wedding day has to be one of my favorite classic Richmond weddings! Between the vendors she hired, the stunning details and florals, the sweetest first look, the prettiest portraits at the VA State Capitol, and one hell of a party at The John Marshall Ballrooms… it’s all too good!! I love when I’m hired for a full day to capture every single moment from getting ready in the bridal suite all the way to the sparkler exit! It allows me to create the full story of the wedding day through images that the couple can remember forever.

This wedding was seriously a dream for so many reasons. Meg and Tommy were absolutely wonderful to work with and having known so many friends and family members there made it so much fun for me!! Twelve hour work days don’t feel so long when you’re surrounded by laughter, love, and cheer! 🙂

I am so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Norcio saying yes to forever together and I’m incredibly thankful I could document another Lawman girl’s wedding! Congratulations Meg and Tommy!!

Melinda + Tom’s Wedding | The Boathouse at Sunday Park

Melinda and Tom are married!!! I still can’t believe I had the honor of photographing this special day. I have known Melinda and her family since I was in middle school! After we attended different high schools, we didn’t see much of each other. Now here we are nine years later, and I am asked to capture one of the biggest moments of her life.

Tom so obviously complements Melinda in every way. You can see their love through the way they look at each other, the way they laugh together, and how they hold each other. This wedding was beyond beautiful in every way. It was full of love, stunning details, a very good looking bridal party, the sweetest families, and lots of fun on the dance floor!

I am so happy for these two and wish them all the blessings in the world! Now enjoy seeing each moment and details from the succulents to the first look, the hilarious daddy-daughter dance, the glowy sunset portraits, and the adorable bubble exit!
