Colonial Williamsburg Christmas Wedding | Alex + Cory

I’m so excited to share this magical Christmas wedding in Colonial Williamsburg! Just a little backstory first- Cory and Alex ended up getting engaged then booking me for their wedding shortly after Cory’s sister’s wedding that I photographed last Spring. I was thrilled they asked me because I adored their family, I already knew Cory was going to be so much fun plus she and Alex were adorable together on the dancefloor! During their engagement session, they explained a little more about what their wedding was going to be like and I was so pumped, but WOAH, I didn’t expect such an incredible day!

I love that it was an early wedding day since it took place on December 21st when the sun sets around 5pm. The venue was absolutely beautiful, every little detail that went into the day was seriously impressive and I loved the pineapple theme mixed with all things Christmas. Cory and Alex shared the sweetest vows ever, every minute of the day was “merry and bright” ( see what I did there? 😉 ), they had so many fun surprises for guests that you’ll see throughout the pictures, and we even had time after the reception for tons of bride and groom portraits around Colonial Williamsburg- it was amazing. If you make it to the end you’ll get to see the magical twilight shots in front of the Inn and the reflection pool which was the perfect way to end a perfect day!

Wishing Mr. and Mrs. Proffitt a lifetime of giggles, silly dancing, and lots of blessings! 🙂 I’m so thankful I was a part of such a memorable day with two wonderful families to work with- congratulations, friends!

A Styled Holiday Wedding

Christmas is only a few days away and I have been saving this stunning, styled holiday wedding for this very moment! I wanted to create an inspiring, romantic, whimsy, Christmas themed wedding styled shoot for a few reasons: One being that I am obsessed with all things Christmas…so duh! Two is that I haven’t been able to let my creativity flow in the past few months because I’ve been so busy sticking to my normal sessions and weddings. I wanted to have some fun with local “friendors” (vendors) and play around with ideas! And lastly, because I wanted to share some winter wedding inspiration for those brides getting married next holiday season. You will definitely see some awesome ideas throughout the blog- you might even start drooling over the portraits! 😉

Between the breathtaking ceremony site, the sweater design in the cake, the candy cane accents, the romantic setting at the sweetheart table, and this BEAUTIFUL couple (who are totally engaged, btw!), this shoot is one for the books! I’m not even being dramatic when I say that it gets better and better and better with each scroll until you hit the end and then you’ll just be angry that it’s over! These vendors knocked it out of the park and I can’t wait for you to check it out!
