Christmas is only a few days away and I have been saving this stunning, styled holiday wedding for this very moment! I wanted to create an inspiring, romantic, whimsy, Christmas themed wedding styled shoot for a few reasons: One being that I am obsessed with all things Christmas…so duh! Two is that I haven’t been able to let my creativity flow in the past few months because I’ve been so busy sticking to my normal sessions and weddings. I wanted to have some fun with local “friendors” (vendors) and play around with ideas! And lastly, because I wanted to share some winter wedding inspiration for those brides getting married next holiday season. You will definitely see some awesome ideas throughout the blog- you might even start drooling over the portraits! 😉
Between the breathtaking ceremony site, the sweater design in the cake, the candy cane accents, the romantic setting at the sweetheart table, and this BEAUTIFUL couple (who are totally engaged, btw!), this shoot is one for the books! I’m not even being dramatic when I say that it gets better and better and better with each scroll until you hit the end and then you’ll just be angry that it’s over! These vendors knocked it out of the park and I can’t wait for you to check it out!
Wow, I still can’t believe I pulled all this together with the help of these vendors. You never know how a styled shoot is going to turn out until everything is finally put together. I was so excited to see how everything matched the pink and purple floral theme! From the invitation suite, to the bouquet, to the vibrant table linen, and the beautiful bouquet, I’d say it was a success! Plus my models are so obviously madly in love, so they defintiely made my job easy… The golden sunshine falling between the trees and sparkling over the water made for the dreamiest lighting, too! This is definitely an inspiration wedding for brides who are lovers of all things pink, vibrant, and flowery. Get ready because your “heart eyes” are about to go crazy- just wait until you keep scrolling! 🙂
FINALLY!! It’s about time I could share part one of my workshop styled shoot!
Can you believe this? A pink three-tiered cake with peonies on top. Sprinkles and flowers. Unicorn treats. Shimmery pink macarons. And the sweetest “sweets stand” you could imagine. DESSERT HEAVEN, PEOPLE.
As for the senior models… literally blown away. These girls were fierce, stunning, and so much fun! There’s no way I was that cute and full of personality when I was a senior in high school! Gracie, Libby, Lauren, Rachel, and Kelsey rocked their photos and I couldn’t be more excited about their images! Between the pop of lip color, cool-girl hairstyles, the adorable outfits, and their sweet smiles, I am obsessed!!
Shoutout to all the vendors who played a role in this awesome styled shoot! I’m so happy with how everything came out and everyone was amazing to work with!
When I first saw this adorable mobile bar, I knew this styled shoot was going to be amazing! The Stable Bar is the cutest mint green rental and something unique to add to your outdoor/barn wedding! Amber Grove was the perfect venue to match its rustic theme. Erin from Rose Avenue Floral totally outdid herself with the beautiful floral designs- I was blown away! Husband and wife team, Emily and Caison, invited some of my favorite local vendors to be a part of the photo shoot, too! Check out all the pretty below and be sure to look into these awesome vendors for your upcoming wedding!!
When Erin from Rose Avenue Floral Designs asked me to photograph a styled shoot she was planning, I was SO excited!!! Erin is crazy talented, creative, and so sweet! She worked with Julia of Honeybee Planning to design this awesome photoshoot! I’ve never photographed anything like this before, so when I showed up I was blown away! This wintry styled shoot was breathtaking, it was the perfect day with golden sunshine, and the location fit the vibe so well!
We only had a fewww “freak-out” moments… like when Erin’s sweater caught on fire out of literally nowhere in the woods, or when Julia actually fell into the frozen lake as we were taking pictures on the dock… no, this doesn’t normally happen at styled shoots. Thank the good Lord everyone is totally fine, we all survived, and we got through the day without anyone being seriously injured! Now we have some funny and not-so-funny memories with beautiful pictures to remember this day by! 🙂
I can’t wait to work with these awesome vendors again in the future! Enjoy the photos!
