Boathouse at Rocketts Landing Wedding | Kara + Dan

Kara and Dan met through a dating app and “it was love at first swipe!” They spent 2 years as a long distance couple but they didn’t allow that to get in the way of their love for each other. They truly believe in the saying, “distance makes the heart grow fonder”. As a result, for Kara and Dan, this was more than true! After almost 2 years, Kara and Dan were finally able to go on the date they had both been dreaming of- the National Zoo in D.C. On this date, Dan surprised Kara with a proposal and it was the best surprise ever!! Kara and Dan feel unbelievably blessed that God chose them for each other.

They had a gorgeous wedding at the Boathouse at Rocket’s Landing. They brought elements from the ocean, such as coastal blues and greens, seaglass and starfish. Everything from the ring dish, to the invitation suite, the cake, and the centerpieces.  The coastal wedding vibes were perfect for their water view reception and ceremony. Everywhere you looked, there was abundant love, laughter and happiness the entire day. Not only were Kara and Dan beaming with love, so were the rest of their family and guests! Kara even had a special tie made for her dad reminding him that she will always be his little girl. Despite restrictions due to COVID, all of their guests had such an amazing time dancing and celebrating Kara and Dan’s special day as you can see from the pictures below!

Congratulations, friends! Wishing you all the blessings in your marriage!
